Your SASSA R350 grant is still pending because SASSA could not verify your information.
SASSA tries to verify your information from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to make sure all the information you provided in your application is correct.
Also, the verification of your information by the DHA proves that you qualify for the grant and deserves to get your application approved.
SASSA will try to verify your Surname and other names, and also your identification document number (ID Number) from the Department of Home Affairs to make sure they match the ones you provided in your application.
If they don’t match, your application will be pending and later declined unless you reapply for the grant.

You Are UIF Registered
When SASSA finds out that you are Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) registered beneficiary, your application for the R350 grant will not be approved.
One of the requirements of SASSA R350 grant is that you should not be receiving any other grant or funding.

You Do Not Qualify For R350 Grant
Your SRD R350 grant is still pending because you do not qualify for the grant. In order to get your application for R350 approved, you should qualify for the grant.

Hi I’m Camella Jooste. I’ve been receiving the 350 SRD grant ever it started till last December….In January 2022 till March 2022 it declined because it says I’m UIF registered. Yes I’ve worked on Election Day on the 1st of November 2021 for the IEC but that was only for one day. So I went to the Department of labour and they couldn’t help me then they referred me to SASSA i did exactly that even at SASSA they couldn’t help me they told me about the reconsideration application which I have already more than once and still there’s no luck….I reapplied in April and till this day it’s still pending I honestly don’t think this is fair because if u pick that someone is UIF registered please do enquire if they receiving money because I’m not receiving any money and yet it’s declining even after I’ve applied for the reconsideration more than once
As I stated in your earlier comment, according to SASSA, all pending applications and payments will be processed by the end of June. So you should exercise some patience and wait for SASSA’s final processing of applications.

If you have done all these queries in person but have no positive results, then the only option is to keep reapplying for reconsideration. Again, the general reapplication has been rolled out and all beneficiaries are to reapply. So, if you have done the reapplication and your status shows pending, SASSA says all pending applications and payments will be processed by the end of June.

Once you have reapplied, SASSA will identify that you’re no longer UIF registered and will approve your application if you qualify for the grant, at least by the end of June.

If your application is approved but the SMS you received did it have a payment date, it means SASSA is has not verified your payment information yet, example, you bank account details and once they verify and approved it, you’ll get a payment date on which you’ll be paid.

You don’t get “failed” as R350 status when you’re not approved for the grant. So, this could be a problem in the website. We suggest you keep trying and also try with another browser.

SASSA will take it as your brother’s money is your own. It does not matter if it is your brother’s money. Once SASSA realizes there’s income flowing into your account, they do not ask where it is coming from or who is it for. The best option for your brother is to get his own account to receive his payment.

I re applied for the sassa R350 grant on the 23 March 2022 on line,but until today it shows pending. Is the applications for March /April still being attendended to or should I cancel my application and re apply?
In April this month, SASSA asked all R350 beneficiaries to reapply for the grant. If your reapplication was before April, we advised that you cancel it and apply again because there are new requirements in the new reapplication process.

I reapplied in April and it’s still pending. However, in the reapplication process SASSA has a questionnaire of which there are questions which are difficult to answer but compulsory. Two of the questions relating to other income were where they asked how much do you receive monthly from other persons whether it be in the form of gifts or whatever and they give you a scale to choose from. But nowhere on the scale does it give you an option to select zero so you have to select the lowest amount on the scale which gives SASSA the impression that you are receiving money from somewhere. Then they ask a question about who helps you on a monthly basis with the bare necessities. Here again one is not given the option to state that no help is forthcoming so once again SASSA is under the impression that we’re receiving help and they’re at liberty to say that we should continue relying on that person for help. My question is: do our answers to questions we were forced to answer affect our reapplications in an adverse way? Thank you.

My status says pending for April how long does it take for approval,it’s been 6 days still pending what could be the problem?

I was declined on numerous times from 2021 July to December due to source of income which i last recieve 6 months prior tried to appeal but to no avail what can be the problem

Hi I received a message saying my sassa is active what does it mean
The Active status is the first status you’ll see when you submit your application for the R350 grant. This simply means SASSA has received your application and they will process your information to decide if you meet the requirement and possibly approve you for the grant.

When your R350 application status shows pending, it means SASSA has not finished processing your application yet. SASSA has to verify your information before they can approve you for the grant.

My husbands application for Aug,Sept,Oct,and Nov 2021 was declined due to source of income.we appealed for no source of income because he wasn’t and is still not working.They approved from Dec till March but those other months are still pending.wot can be done please.
We have received similar issues from many people as well. Currently, SASSA has urged all beneficiaries of R350 grant to reapply. We advise that your husband reapply if he hasn’t yet. Once your reapplication goes through, SASSA will process your application and possibly pay all the previous month’s money.
