Why is my SASSA R350 Grant still pending? Do you want to know why your SASSA R350 grant is still pending? Is your SRD status pending and do you wonder why it’s been too long?

Well, there’s an explanation for the reason why is my SRD R350 grant pending approval and payment.

In this article, we’re discussing and explaining with answers why is my SRD R350 Grant still pending.

We’ll look at some of the causes, and how to solve such issues.

So, let us walk right to the topics.

Why Is My SASSA R350 Grant Still Pending?

Your SASSA R350 is pending because SASSA has not approved your SRD R350 application yet. When you check your R350 grant status and it’s pending, it means the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has not approved your application for the grant.

After you have submitted your application for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant, SASSA will have to process your application through various stages before either approving or declining your application for the R350 grant.

When you Check Your R350 Status, you’ll see application “pending” when SASSA has not finished processing your application and approved it.

Now that you know why your SASSA R350 grant is still pending, let us look at some of the other factors that may cause the delay in your application getting approved.

Your Information Is Not Correct?

When the information you provided to SASSA when you were applying for the grant is not correct, SASSA may not be able to verify your data and hence, may delay in approving your application for the R350 grant.

Again, if your information is not correct, your application for the SRD R350 grant may be declined.

In such a case, you’ll have to appeal to SASSA to provide the correct personal information before you get approved for the Covid-19 SRD R350 grant.

You should read How To Appeal To SASSA R350 Grant for the step-by-step guide to appeal successfully to SASSA to get approved for the R350 grant.

SASSA Coul Not Verify Your Information?

Your SASSA R350 grant is still pending because SASSA could not verify your information.

SASSA tries to verify your information from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to make sure all the information you provided in your application is correct.

Also, the verification of your information by the DHA proves that you qualify for the grant and deserves to get your application approved.

SASSA will try to verify your Surname and other names, and also your identification document number (ID Number) from the Department of Home Affairs to make sure they match the ones you provided in your application.

If they don’t match, your application will be pending and later declined unless you reapply for the grant.

We do recommend that you read How To Reapply For SASSA R350 Grant for the guide to reapply successfully for the grant.

You Are UIF Registered

When SASSA finds out that you are Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) registered beneficiary, your application for the R350 grant will not be approved.

One of the requirements of SASSA R350 grant is that you should not be receiving any other grant or funding.

For example, you should not be employed or have any source of income.

We do recommend that you read What Does SASSA R350 UIF Registered Status Means for the full explanation of what it means and what you should do to get your R350 grant approved when your status shows UIF Registered.

You Do Not Qualify For R350 Grant

Your SRD R350 grant is still pending because you do not qualify for the grant. In order to get your application for R350 approved, you should qualify for the grant.

Applicants who do not meet the requirements and qualify for the grant may not get their application approved and their status will be on pending for a longer.

You should therefore get to know Who Qualifies For SASSA SRD R350 Grant? for the detailed requirements and documents you need to qualify for the grant.

According to SASSA, there are still lots of R350 grant applications that they are still processing to approve. So, if your grant is still pending, they say they will finish the processing in July and pay.

We do recommend that you apply for reconsideration. SASSA will know that you’re no longer UIF registered when they run your information in the verification process. Then they will approve your application for the R350 grant.
