Do I Have To Reapply For Sassa R350 Grant?

Yes, you have to reapply for Sassa r350 grant if your previous application was unsuccessful. Again, all persons who were Sassa r350 grant beneficiaries have to reapply after the grant was reinstated.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has informed the public that all persons who were receiving Sassa R350 grants before it was canceled will need to reapply for the grant after it was reinstated.

This means all previous beneficiaries of the Social Relief Distress (SRD) before it was canceled will need to reapply if they want to receive the R350 grant again.

When Can I Reapply For Sassa R350 Grant?

Application for Sassa r350 grant is open from 6 August 2021 and will close in March 2022. You can submit your application for the grant before the application deadline.

We, therefore, encourage you to reapply as soon as possible before the reapplication closes.

Why Do I Need To Reapply For Sassa R350 Grant?

You need to reapply for Sassa r350 grant because your previous application was unsuccessful or rejected.

When the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) rejects your application for Sassa r350 grant, it means you’ll not get the grant.

Nonetheless, SASSA gives all applicants whose previous applications were rejected or unsuccessful to reapply so that their applications can be reviewed again and possibly get approved for the grant.

Why Does My SRD Status Says Failed?

When your Social Relief Distress (RSD) status shows failed, it means your application for Sassa r350 was not approved.

This could be a result of many factors. For example, when you get a message like “Identification Verification Failed”,

This means SASSA couldn’t verify the information you provided from the Department of Home Affairs when you were applying for the grant.

Again, it means you have to complete the application by providing accurate and current information that SSASA can verify so that they can approve your application for the grant.

Do I Have To Reapply For Sassa R350 If My Application Status Shows Pending?

No, you don’t have to reapply for Sassa r350 grant if your application status shows unsuccessful.

This means the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is taking the necessary processes to verify your information and other documents.

Also, it means your application is not rejected or unsuccessful but SASSA is working on verifying your supporting documents from the Department of Home Affairs.

You should reapply for Sassa r350 only when your application status shows unsuccessful.

All pending applications will be processed before June ends. That’s according to SASSA so you should have a little patience.

The approval of the re-application has raised many concerns. Although, SASSA has not made any public statement as to why some applications are still pending after reapplying. But we all know that SASSA has to verify all the information and documents you provided in the application process.

Once SASSA verifies that information, you’ll get approved if you met the R350 requirements. In the meantime, you can contact SASSA via any of these SASSA Contact Details to make inquiries.

SASSA will only pay for the months that you were approved for the grant. So, you’ll not get paid for the previous months if you were not approved for payment for those months.

Keep trying. There are no critical issues preventing people from applying on the website though. So, you may try another browser and see if it will go through.

Yes, SASSA has asked all R350 grant beneficiaries to reapply. This comes according to the extension of the grant until March 2023. You, therefore, need to reapply if you want to keep getting R350 from SASSA SRD.

Nothing is happening except that SASSA has not processed your application yet. If your information and documents are correct, then SASSA will verify them and approve your application for the R350 grant payment.

First, we suggest you change the browser you’re using for the reapplication and try. If the problem still exists, then it could be a technical issue on the SASSA website and you can only keep trying.

However, if the system gives you any reason as to why the page closes when you try to reapply, you can let us know the specifics so that we can suggest a more specific solution.

Hi I tried to re apply but it says failed every time..what does this mean, I’m stressed out in case I don’t make it before cut off time

Reply
Universityonlineapplication April 25, 2022 - 9:34 am

This is an issue that could be a result of too many people trying to access the website to reapply. Again, we suggest that you make sure all your information is correct and current and that SASSA can verify it in the Department of Home Affairs database.
Aside from this, we suggest that you keep trying to submit your application.

Also note that, if you are a beneficiary already, SASSA knows your information. The reapplication is just another step to make things easy for SASSA to verify your details again as a result of the amendment and the extension of the grant to 2023.

Please assist, my daughter needs to reapply, when she puts on her cellphone and I’d no it says “awaiting reapplication’

Reply
Universityonlineapplication April 25, 2022 - 8:21 pm

This could be a problem in the SASSA system or from the website itself. However, you should make sure the phone number and the ID you use are in your daughter’s name and they can be verified in the Department of Home Affairs database.

Also, it may be because a lot of people are trying to submit their applications and so the issue.

Other than this, you should keep trying to apply.

Then I tried to apply again for the money because I was no longer studying .When I check online it says declined when I look at the reason it says NSFAS registered

Reply

The only means NSFAS will cancel your funding is when you fail to meet the academic performance requirement of passing at least 50% of your modules and also when you take a gap year.

If you have not defaulted on these two reasons, then we suggest that you make an inquiry from the Financial Aid Office of your institution or contact NSFAS to make an inquiry. Use these contacts NSFAS Contact Details

Reply

‘UIF registered’ means that SASSA found that you are receiving or are eligible for UIF benefits. This then shows that you are receiving other funds or that you are not unemployed, which would mean you don’t qualify. the best option is to appeal to SASSA. Reply
Universityonlineapplication April 25, 2022 - 12:12 pm

SASSA has held the R350 grant payment for April because they have asked all beneficiaries to reapply for the grant. This is as a result of the amendment made to the grant as it is extended to March 2023. You should read Why You Should Reapply For SASSA R350 Grant for further explanation.
