Hi, i heard you speaking about motivational letters, when i submitted my appeal i was only requested to upload only supporting documents which was prospensity and medical reports, but there was no option for me to upload motivational letters. i did i miss ssomething, i am confused
No, you haven’t missed anything. In the appeal, each case is treated differently. This means, you only provide the information and documents that NSFAS request from you.
I got rejected because I didn’t register at school for this trimester is it possible to reapply next trimester when I go back to school or I have to appeal now
You can choose to appeal now or wait for the next trimester to apply.
i am a returning student which i am supposed to be doing my final year, i got rejected by nsfas in not meeting academic criteria and i appealed lastweek Tuesday, so as stated on nsfas website that everyone who appealed and still waiting for nsfas approval should not pay for their registration fee. So i want to know whether am i safe as i am currently conditionally registered at Nwu which i can not afford to pay the R11290 registration fee? will NWU deregister me when i do not pay the registration fee before the registrations closes as i am still waiting for my appeal to be finalized by Nsfas?
First, it is better to pay and register to keep your admission before it’s too late.
Second, NSFAS will not deregister you. They will rather reimburse your registration fee after your appeal is approved and since it is an appeal for not meeting the academic criteria, you cannot bend all your hopes on NSFAS.

How do I appeal when I’m rejected because of academic ineligible as a result of N+rule?
In your appeal, you’ll select the reason for the appeal. If you do not fund the N+rule on the list, select a related reason. Then in your appeal letter, you’ll state your actual reason.

Yes, NSFAS will bring back the tab for all those who couldn’t submit their appeals to complete it. However, they have not given the resubmission of appeals for this year yet.

How to I get the nsfas application form for appealing? I am a returning student and was funded by nsfas last year. I have been excluded but submitted my appeal at my varsity and want to know how do I get the appeal forms. I have also noticed that there’s no option of appealing online on my profile as well.
The appeal tab not showing maybe because you’ve exceeded your funding years. With the forms, you should be able to download them from the nsfas website or pick it from the financial aid office in your institution.

When NSFAS rejects your application, they’ll give you reasons why your application can not be approved for funding.
For example, NSFAS will inform you if you didn’t upload some of the required supporting documents. The reason will show “missen supporting documents”.
In such a case, you’ll have to upload all the referred missing supporting documents when appealing to NSFAS.
Again, if your application was unsuccessful because of not meeting the household income per annum benchmark, you’ll need to attach your salary payslip or your parents/guardian salary’s payslip of not more than at least the past three months to back your claims in the letter.
