Currently, SASSA doe not pay via Post Office. So, if you cannot collect your money at Pick n Pay, you can try Boxer or Checkers. Also, you should make sure your payment date has been sent to you.

There’s nothing wrong with your R350 grant application. It is SASSA that has delayed payments. However, they say they are processing all approved but pending payments for R350 grants.

I was approved for the months January, February and March with payment dates but I haven’t received any payment…Can I still get paid for those months? And when I registered my payment option was Fnb cash send and now when I try to change it doesn’t succeed. Can I collect the money from Boxer or Shoprite or do I have to wait untill my banking details successfully changes to merchants payment method

Reply
Universityonlineapplication September 13, 2022 - 9:05 pm

Firstly, yes, SASSA says they’re processing all approved but unpaid SRD R350 grants and yes, once you’re approved, SASSA will pay all the backlog grants for all those months. Secondly, you can try to collect your money from Boxer or Shoprite. Sometimes, the withdrawal goes through in situations like this.

Also, you can wait for your payment method to change to the merchant’s payment before you go to collect your R350.

You’ll be able to collect your R350 once your new contact is approved. Also, make sure you have submitted your bank details to SASSA for payment approval.

This issue is quite technical. We advise that you choose the bank option. SASSA has stopped paying SRD R350 through Post Office.

However, if you choose the Post Office payment, you can collect your R350 at all merchant stores like Boxer, Checkers, uSave, and super market.

Actually, we advise that you go to the retail store and try if it’s possible to get withdraw your money. If they say you should wait for your new payment method to be verified and approved, then you wait.

Then the issue might be with SASSA and not the process of changing the payment method to Pick n Pay. If you’re finding it difficult to collect your R350, we suggest you choose a bank account to take your grant. Also try other stores like Shoprite, Usave, Checkers, and Boxer.

Reply
Universityonlineapplication July 19, 2022 - 10:00 am

All you need to collect your R350 from retail stores is your ID number and SASSA payment SMS containing your pay date. At the retail store, you’ll be assisted to create a PIN to help you withdraw your money.

Again, without your ID number and payment date from SMS, you cannot collect your money from any of the retail stores.

Also, according to SASSA virtual card is linked to your Pot Bank account. So, once you are paid, you can withdraw with the SASSA Card via ATM.

I now have paydates and when I try collecting at retailers it declines, reason “no card record”
So when I check the verification process on banking details for payment method it’s written “undefined”

Reply
Universityonlineapplication October 14, 2022 - 2:40 pm

Current, SASSA is no longer paying through Post Office. SASSA recommends that clients must submit bank account details for their R350 payments.

Usually, payment challenges occur when you do not provide the correct banking details for approval by SASSA.
