How to appeal SASSA SRD R350 Grant new appeal application appeal process. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced a new SASSA appeal application process for all declined R350 grants.
According to SASSA, they are no longer processing reconsideration requests related to the old appeal process on the srd.sassa.gov.za website.
Instead, the SASSA SRD appeals will now be managed by the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeal (ITSAAs).
Because of the changes that SASSA has made in its appeal method, the old way of submitting SASSA appeals for declined R350 grants is no longer effective.
So, in this article, we’re going to show you how to appeal SASSA SRD R350 Grant with the new SRD appeal application process with a step-by-step easy guide.

How To Appeal SASSA SRD R350 Grant New Appeal Application Process
- Go to https://srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals/appeal
- Enter your South African ID Number
- Enter the cell phone number (the one you used to apply for the R350 grant)
- Click Send Pin
- You’ll receive a unique PIN
- Insert it and click Submit
- Select the month you’re appealing to
- Select your appeal reason by clicking the drop-down arrow
- Click Submit to complete the appeal process
You’ll be able to submit your appeal to SASSA successfully in the new SRD R350 appeal application process.
You will now submit SASSA R350 Grant appeals to SASSA through the srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals/appeal website.

I want this money becouse it help me
Nobody ever told me in 2021 to loge an appeal. They still got me on the system for UIF registered and there are no way apparently according to them to fix it on the system. In that year i never got UIF. Thousands of people are still on there system for UIF registered. When are they ever gonna solve this problem.
Only NSFAS can fix this issue in their system. Let’s hope for the best.

Hi I have only received R350 once in April this year I have never before get any R350 an after they Keep on saying allternitive income but why every time I apply nothing other People get who have money but iam not I received every month something but that’s not for me because I have policy’s I get help but it’s not that I get the money they send me iam a single mother who is also trying to provide for my children why sassa don’t wanna give me money
Alternative income means SASSA has found out money is flowing through your account. The best way to avoid getting declined for this reason is to not receive money in your account.
You can find another means to receive money from family or friends or helpers but not through your bank account.
My 350 is decline I don’t know why

Yes, both the DSD and the srd websites work for SASSA appeals. If you’re having difficulty with the “srd dsd” appeal portal, you should use the srd portal.
Aprl and may was declined but june approved with pay date so I don’t understand y is April and may declined please help.

Good day. I am Daleen. I applied for sassa R350 grant when Covid started. They say I am declined because I am Uif registered. There is a mistake, because I am a housewife and never worked in my life. I tried so many times to get through to Sassa’s offices and phoned so many times but no one will help me. I got payed in 2o21 in August and then nothing until March 2022 and then nothing from up to August 2022. When I look at my status now it doesn’t say Uif registered. It says approved but no pay date. Can you please help me and fix the problem from your side.
If you are approved, then there’s nothing to worry about. SASSA says they’re still processing lots of pending payments. They will definitely pay you.

I appeal my R350 because is declined
I did apply last year August 2021 and was declined since June 2022 the reason for identity verification failed but all my information is write my February 2022 shows approved? What can I do
Once your SRD grant is declined, the only option is to appeal. So, we suggest that you appeal as soon as possible for reconsideration.

I was declined from December 2021 to March 2022,due to out of age range although only turned 60 end of December 2021, and only received 1st pension 3 payment April 2022.. So from December 2021 to 3 April 2022 it was a struggle to put food on table and pay rent to as my husbands also a pensioner and we both unemployed for many years now.. I’d like to lodge appeal to enquire if I’m not entitled to receive the outstanding 4 mnths srd grant from Dec to March 2022.?

Once you are approved for the SRD grant; in this case your outstanding 4 months grant, SASSA will pay you. Although the payment may not be made in bulk.
If in any case, you’ll like to appeal any of the months in which you’re declined, we do recommend that you follow the appeal process to submit your appeal to SASSA.

First, SASSA has to verify and approve your payment details before confirming payment by sending your payment date. However, if your payment details are approve, SASSA says they’re still processing all pending R350 grant payments and will pay in July.

I applied in May 2022. My application came back in June, declined due to UIF registered, Last year, MID MAY – JUL, I had casual contract for 3 months and I haven’t been working ever since. When I checked my SRD GRANT status last month is said: Declined UIF registered to which I don’t receive any monies from UIF. Only filled in appeal form today. Will my application maybe be reconsidered and must I reapply on SRD GRANT website.?
There’s no need to reapply if you have submitted an appeal. At least wait for the appeal outcome before you make any changes in your application to avoid getting declined again.
Also, SASSA will know if you’re not more receiving UIF or working when they take your appeal information through their verification process and hence approve your grant.
