When your SASSA Grant is declined for having other sources of income, it means you’re receiving more than the R350 threshold required to qualify for the SRD Grant.

However, SASSA sometimes makes mistakes in its decline reason. But, once you’re declined the only option is to appeal for reconsideration. So, we suggest that you tell him to appeal the declined srd grants.

Again, make sure he is not receiving money either on behalf of a relative or a frien, else, SASSA will still decline him from the SRD R350 grant.

After submitting your bank account details, SASSA will have to verify and approve the information by matching it with that of the Department of Home Affairs just to make sure you are who you say you are.

The verification and approval may take time so, I do advise that you have a little patience. You’ll get your payment date once SASSA approves your account and the SRD grant.

According to SASSA, they’re still processing lots of approved but unpaid R350 grants. Although they haven’t stated the exact date the processing will be completed.

It is possible that SASSA will not pay your outstanding money in bulk but will pay gradually till all your money is paid to you.
