SASSA cautions beneficiaries to use their own bank account. This is because SASSA cannot pay your R350 grant into another person’s account.
Again, this is for beneficiaries who select payment into bank account and want to receive their grant through bank payment.
How Long Does SASSA Take To Verify Banking Details?
Sassa takes at least 7 business working days to 10 business working days to verify your banking details.
The period that Sassa takes to verify your banking details excludes holidays.
For example, if you submit your banking details to Sassa on Friday, they will not start the verification process on Saturday and Sunday but on Monday.
Again, the maximum period that will take Sassa to complete the verification of your banking details is 10 business working days.
This is because of the high volume of beneficiaries who are submitting their bank account details to SASSA for verification.
Nonetheless, SASSA will verify our bank account details and send your grant payment to it once they confirm your banking details.
This also means you will have to make inquiries if your banking details are not verified after 10 working days.
How Will I Know Sassa Has Verified My Banking Details?
When Sassa finishes verifying your banking details, your bank account details will reflect on your Sassa dashboard and you’ll be able to see the payment details.
Can I Submit My Banking Details To Sassa Online?
Absolutely yes, you can submit your banking details to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) online.
However, to do that, you’ll need to go to the Sassa website, log into your account, and submit your banking details to Sassa from the “payment into your bank account” option.
After completing submitting your banking details to Sassa online, they will deposit all your Sassa payments into the bank account you have provided.
Can I Update My Banking Details After Submitting It To Sassa?
Yes, you can update your banking details to Sassa after submitting them to Sassa. You can change your banking details by following the same process as you added the banking details to your Sassa account.
However, Sassa will also have to go through the banking details verification process again, to verify your new banking details before they can pay your Sassa grant through it.
We, therefore, advise you to change your banking details for at least 15 days before the SASSA grant payment.
This is because it will take at most 10 business working days for Sassa to verify your banking details.

There are two things you can do to fix SASSA SRD R350 UIF Registered Status.
Firstly, you should cancel your UIF. See How To Cancel UIF For SASSA R350 Grant for the guide.
Secondly, you must apeal to your declined R350 applications for reconsideration.
However, if you have no UIF records, then canceling will be impossible. So in that case, just appeal your declined grants and when SASSA process your appeal, they will know that you’re not UIF registered.

Well, in that case, with the day date issue, SASSA says they’re still processing pending R350 payments.
Also, your July pending application simply means SASSA has not processed your July grant yet. However, they say they will complete the processing of all pending applications soon.
With the declined months, you can only appeal for reconsideration.

It is not possible to get all your previous payment in bulk. However, SASSA will pay all your approved R350 gradually. We also recommend that you find a way to change your payment method to bank account payment to make payment easy.

SASSA only pays for the months that you’re approved. So, if you’re declined for some months, you’ll have to appeal and get approved before you get your R350 for those months.
