Who Qualifies For NSFAS Bursary?

1. You must be a South African citizen
2. You are registering for the first time for an undergraduate qualification
3. You must be admitted to study in a university or TVET college
4. Combined household annual income must not exceed R350 000 per anum.
5. Applicants who just received SASSA Grants also qualify to apply for NSFAS funding.

Students who are South African citizens, including those with a disability, have applied and been accepted to study at a public university or TVET College. Undergraduate students studying for their first higher education qualification are those who qualify for NSFAS funding.

For who qualifies for NSFAS funding, with continuing students, a student must meet the academic performance requirement and proof that they are financially needy. 

Students seeking NSFAS bursary support must have an annual household income not exceeding R350 000 00. 

Students must meet the NSFAS qualification requirements to get funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) for the public university or TVET Colledge qualification.
