hello, I am a registered student at University Of Mpumalanga. NSFAS hasn`t cleared me yet and I`m on stage 4 which Awaiting Academic Eligibilty Check. I am a first year student. If I may ask…How may I going to get assistance ?
With the NSFAS process, you have to wait on NSFAS to approve you before they fund you. NSFAS will communicate with your institution UMP and fix your academic eligibility.
It is a flawed assumption that anyone who phones NSFAS is wanting to enquire about NSFAS applications /loans! What about people who want access to NSFAS administration offices for diffeent reasons, since NSFAs is a business.
This is been a problem since. We hope the NSFAS Offices will change this worrying situation.
am a registered first year Nursing student enrolling for a 4years degree, my nsfas application is still on Evaluation, however I keep receiving an SMS from Nsfas to upload Proof of Guardianship document. I went to Social Development Dept they drafted that and I uploaded but every after a week I keep on recieving the same Sms, can someone please clarify or rather advise me of what document are they asking for amd where can I get that required document.

I enrolled in varsity 2017 (doing a 4 year course) and changed to another university on 2018 where I started using NSFAS bursary doing a 4 year course too and I was funded until 2021 but this year I am not the status says “exceeded N+ rule” there’s no appeal button on myNSFAS portal. Do u have a clarity why I am not funded since if they consider the time of my enrolment (2017) I fall under N+2 meaning this was supposed to be my final year of being funded as I’m doing final year due to unforeseen circumstances. And can I have other alternative to appeal?
Unless the appeal buttons appear, it will be difficult to appeal. Through our background checks, there may be two factors for NSFAS not showing the appeal tab.
First, it may be just an error because NSFAS says they’re upgrading the website
Second, we’ve realized that students who don’t see the appeal tab on their MyNSFAS account are mostly those NSFAS has ruled them to have exceeded the N+ rules.
So, this could be intentional by NSFAS.
