I was not accepted in any university or college in 2022 but I applied for Nsfas then I took a gap year and reapplied for 2023 but my status say “not started” what does it means?

It means NSFAS has not started collecting your academic records from your institutions. It’s better to go to the finance/bursary office of your institution to check if NSFAS has requested your information. If not, your institution should be able to assist you to submit your academic records to NSFAS.

First, if you do not get admission, your status should be showing “eligible for funding without admission” which means you have not been approved for the NSFAS funding.

So, if you’ll need the funding, you’ll have to apply for it.

That must be a an error in the NSFAS website. However, you shoult try a different browser and see. If the problem still appears, you should try to contact NSFAS.

Application closed is either NSFAS is not currently taking in new applications or your NSFAS is canceled therefore, your account is closed.

When i try to track my application status it just shows me that “your application ‘ but it doesn’t show its progress , also my user profile is activated but there are some missing documents how to upload them?

If the website is working properly, there should be an option to upload the documents in your MyNSFAS. From what you’re saying, it seems the site is not working properly. So, we suggest that you change the browser, or use a different browser to log into your MyNSFAS Account and see if it will still be like that.

If you were late for your Appeal the in terms of school fees for that particular year cause I can’t afford to pay for myself so what will happen?and one last question what happens if you appealed and it wrote “queued” then you realize after what will happen?

Reply
Universityonlineapplication March 15, 2022 - 7:32 am

First, if you’re still waiting for NSFAS to approve your appeal, then you’ll have to pay all your fees by yourself until you get NSFAS funding. Once your appeal is approved, NSFAS will pay your money back to you.

Second, if your appeal is “queued” it means NSFAS is still working on lots of appeals and yours is in line. They will get to your appeal and review it to make a decision on it.

Nsfas rejects you. You are given a chance to appeal & you don’t appeal. Are there any possibilities of you re-applying for nsfas again?

Reply
Universityonlineapplication February 25, 2022 - 6:39 am

Once the application is closed, you cannot re-apply but you can appeal. Again, if the appeal is closed, you will only have to wait for the next academic year to apply when applications are open.

If you passed your all 4 modules then nsfas funded you last semester, which form do you need to fill so nsfas can continue to fund you?

Reply
Universityonlineapplication January 21, 2022 - 6:21 pm

You don’t need to fill out any forms if you passed all of your modules. You’ll only appeal to NSFAS funding when you failed to pass at least 50% of your modules. In your case, you passed so you don’t need to do anything. NSFAS will automatically continue to fund you.

Is there an age limit when applying for funding

Reply
Universityonlineapplication January 7, 2022 - 6:40 am

Yes, since you’ll use your documents like ID or birth certificate, applicants are expected to be 18 years and above. However, if you’re younger than 18, NSFAS expects your parents/guardian to use their documents on your behalf to apply for you.
